My first dandelion of the season! And I've decided this will be the summer of croquet!!
We've loved our time with our babies, but they have grown up and are ready for school! This is our family scrapbook of all things Drake. We're living happily ever after, one day at a time!

Spring Fever
All this early spring weather inspired us to get out and explore the reservoir. Each year the kids get better at doing new stuff - SO MUCH FUN! We're all looking forward to summer camping trips and adventures!!
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
One of my favorite days to celebrate! Green Eggs and Ham wraps, hat pancakes, heart bacon ('cause I love my family!), Hat desserts, games, arts and crafts, decorations, and fish snacks! Grace and I hung out at the library that day for more Cat in the Hat fun!! Good times!!
Staff vs. Studnets
We were again able to attend Tim's intramural basketball game this year. He racked up a couple of quick fouls (pretty sure he wasn't anywhere NEAR one of them) but then got in his groove and made us proud. Cooper was his biggest fan, and Grace loves her daddy - just not sitting in the stands. :) Cooper joined him on the bench for half time and then by the end of the game he was just playing half court basket ball.... he said because they were killing them.... I'm no so sure. ;)

Leap Day
I wanted to blog on leap day since I wouldn't be able to for another four years, but because it was crazy nice out I couldn't bring myself in to sit in front of the computer! This was back before the bikes were ready so we walked (or rather ran!) to the park! As I look at my pictures, I realize that February started out unseasonably warm (HERE) and ended the exact same way! What a great winter!!
Indoor Soccer!
We decided it was time to enter the world of organized sports this winter and signed the kids up for indoor soccer. THEY. LOVE. IT. We also got all wild and crazy and volunteered to be the coaches. What?! Tim played in high school and I know what a soccer ball looks like - how hard can it be? They are 4 and 5 years old, right?! WELL.... it has been awesome! Grace is one of the tallest out there, but she moves really well. When she wants to she can take off and be super fast. She has scored a couple of goals, and become more aggressive each game. (She skips alot, but is having fun!) Cooper is constant motion and SOUND EFFECTS. That's right - full body soccer. Not that he is running into other kids or hitting them (on purpose anyway) but he is a flailing sound machine! I overheard someone talking during our first game just after he went in and I assume they were talking about him: "He is a little guy, but he's not afraid to get in there and mix it up!" He will be right in the middle of things the whole time he is out there. Again, LOVES IT. (So much so that I type this on the day we signed them up for outdoor soccer!!) As for our team, they are a hoot! Jason is the one who kicks it far too hard ALL THE TIME. He also is a yeller - at the other team, us, or his team mates. Not to be mean, just his VOICE. And our littlest - Heaven. So cute. She has been rescued more than once by coaches or parent because she was laying down on the field. Or one day just ran right into the wall as if to hug it. I spend a lot of time convincing her to "go get the ball!" She also is very polite: Tap on my leg. "Excuse me, coach...." Cracks me up! We don't keep score but we were pretty much killed each week for the first half of the season (three weeks) but after some great coaching (hee, hee!) our team has made a huge comeback being equally competitive each week! We've dealt with real "soccer moms", snotty kids who call us losers, and down right physical kids, but we've loved it! Kind of looking forward to outdoor soccer so we can just sit and enjoy the show!
Grandma and Grandpa have made every game (which Grandma was certain she would NOT do, in the preseason!!) and we enjoy going out to eat with them after. Thank you! Aunt Laura and Nick as well as Grandpa Gene, and Uncle Bill, LaRanda and Kaliya made it to a couple of our games as well. It was a great time!

Bonus Curless Time
Uncle Marc was in town for a day and we were so happy to spend a little time with him! We introduced him to the Kinect and the kids waited “patiently” for their turn to play volleyball.
